Rising Arts Prospectus

The Rising Artist Award is an open international artist competition designed to
provide support toward the work and processes of participating artists.

Entrance into the competition is open
all year round with awards given to outstanding submissions every 3 months.
Submissions accepted into the competition (see SUBMISSION below) will
automatically be eligible for the quarterly awards. The results of the
competition will only be made public on RisingArts.com, and only award
recipients will be individually notified of the results.

Cash awards are determined by the total number of entries received
and will increase as the number of entries received rises, beginning
with the following terms and minimums:

The Rising Artist Award is open to all artists, national and international, working in
all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, mixed
media, digital and installation art are eligible.

The entry fee of $25 allows you to engage in the competition for 3 months. First,
Second and Third Prizes are awarded at each of these 3 month intervals. You may
remove your entries from the competition at any time. At least 3 works must be
submitted per entry. Additional entries up to the amount of 10 pieces are permitted at
the cost of $5 per additional entry. Payment via PayPal is required for online submission.
Paypal is able to convert US Dollars and many other currencies into Euro. Checks may be
sent with mail-in submission. Checks must be payable to Rising Arts. To pay by check, fill
out our mail-in entry form below.

By submitting your works and entry fee to RisingArts.com, you certify that your
submission contains original artworks created entirely by you in conception and
execution. You agree that you have read and fully understand the terms of the
competition detailed in this prospectus, and agree to allow Rising Arts to display
your work on RisingArts.com.

ONLINE SUBMISSION
Each artist must provide three examples of their work per submission. All entries must
be submitted as JPEG files, with a resolution of 72dpi and dimensions not exceeding
1200 pixels per inch on the longest side. For kinetic sculpture, links or email attachments
containing clear video of your work will be accepted

with the information detailing the titles, year created, media, and dimensions of all pieces if
applicable. Include your full name in the email.

MAIL IN SUBMISSION
Each artist must provide at least three examples of their work. Do not mail original
pieces. Materials will not be returned unless requested. If return of materials is
requested, your mail-in submission must include a Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope
(SASE). Please ensure that your envelope has enough postage.
Prints: Prints (ink jet / laser, etc.) of work may be submitted up to 8.5" x 11".
CD: Image files should be readable on PC platform and should be in JPEG format.
DVD/Video: For kinetic artists include video of the work in Windows Media or Mpeg format.

We encourage all artists to submit an artist statement that may help us fully appreciate
and understand your process. Where does your inspiration come from? What goals do
you have in the creation of your work?

While we do make every effort to market the Rising Artist Award to all relevant interests,
Rising Arts reserves the right to cancel the contest if expected entry goals are not met.
All entry fees will be refunded upon cancellation.
